Please tell us, in your own words, what you feel speaks the most about a guild's quality.
Hmmm… IMO the quality of a guild may have to do with correctly matching the objectives of the guild with the player’s aspirations. A casual guild full of people that want just that can be a more enjoyable experience than a high achieving guild full of disgruntled people. Some people are miserable wretches regardless of where they are, but in general if you are in the right place for you, your gaming will be fun and after all we are playing a game.

Please tell us, in your own words, why you feel Soul should consider you.
I am a team player with a good sense of humor. I am capable of following instructions and have the ability to learn (the sponge is not quite full). I do well in a structured environment and appreciate authority. I rarely/almost never/perhaps never have a disparaging remark about others (even when warranted) – Except in jest. My work schedule and personal life (neither of which is likely to change) allow me large blocks of uninterrupted raiding time that match the Soul raid schedule very closely, so I can easily hit 80% or more availability without AFKs, surprise guests, phone calls I have to take, etc. My equipment is decent, my ISP is consistent and I am ready to raid.

How did you hear about us? Have you applied to any other guilds while applying to Soul?
I have been healing UD25 PUG on Sundays for Vyx for a couple of months now. We have progressed to ToC25 and will be doing HToC25 soon.

There are no other applications pending.


History
What guilds have you been in previously?
Why did you leave them?
Unrivaled Unity (UU): Guild disbanded when GL bailed.
Calamitously Caffeinated (CC): Moved Meat to raiding guild.
Virtue: Raid healer for 1+ years (Kara through Nax). Left promptly after guild run into UD on opening night. Raid Leader was inundated by sniveling from people that didn’t get to go. In turn he yelled at all of the people that did go in Vent. I listened for 45 minutes, did not argue and logged. The next day I quit. Raid Leader later apologized and all but begged me to come back. I accepted the apology and declined going back.
Calamitously Caffeinated (CC): Moved Meat back home (8 other toons and I am a non-founder officer in CC).
Veni Vidi Vici (VVV): Moved Meat back into a raiding guild. Have done lots of PUG raid healing for VVV in the last 1+ years. Raid schedule is inconsistent with my personal schedule, unfortunately. Doing UD10 regularly with guild and PUG’ing UD25/ToC25 with Vyx on Sundays.

Thursdays are a toss up with GF commitments, but likely not available. If I’m free, I will make myself available. I do not break sign-ups.


Preparation
Please list what you would do to prepare for the raid. List consumables as well.
I currently carry scrolls of enchant, belt buckles, gems, etc. so that I can instantly use any item looted (except Tier, of course). In addition, I carry 5-10 each SP and MP5 flasks, an assortment of elixirs, 200+ candles, 40+ fish feast, 10+ mana pots, and mana regen food/drink at all times. I have my dps and healing gear in my bags at all times. That still leaves 25+ slots free.

I do dailies and fishing in the morning before work to support raiding.

Output
Please tell us what your typical rotation is.
Hard to say. Disc healing is damage mitigation. Not looking for numbers – Looking to prevent death. Tanks get PWS, PoM and Renew. I top them off with Penance and Flash Heal. Toons in trouble get PWS, Penance, Pain Suppression and Flash Heal as necessary.

Gear can be improved and technique can be improved, however consistent poor performance is unacceptable. Continuous improvement is acceptable.

Obtain gear as the opportunity presents itself and ensure that what gear you have is properly gemmed and chanted. Proficiency takes practice, however techniques can be learned from those who have experience so doing research on the web, asking those who have mastered their toons and being open to advice and criticism may be most important.

When can I set up an interview with you?
